Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Mashed Potatoes, Prepared
  • 2 cups mixed frozen Vegetables, Thawed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 2 cups Tri-Tip, Diced

Special Tools

  • Heavy Bottomed Sauce Pan
  • Individual heat-proof ramekins
  • Whisk

Directions

  1. Start up your Pit Boss. Once it's fired up, set the temperature to 350°F.
  1. In the sauce pan, add the butter and flour over medium low heat. Cook the flour and butter for about 1 minute, or until the flour smells toasty. Slowly add in the beef broth, whisking constantly. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the gravy is thick, and then add the Chophouse Steak Rub. Set aside.
  1. Toss the vegetables and tri-tip with the gravy and divide equally into the ramekins. Top the ramekins with mashed potatoes and grill the shepherd's pies for 10-15 minutes, or until warm all the way through and the filling is bubbling. Remove from the grill and serve immediately.
